Cleansing the Earth
Compiled by WD Kemner January 2025
The earth will one day be cleansed of all the evil that has been in control and then God’s Kingdom will be restored. This will usher in the period called the Millennium Kingdom. One Thousand years of God’s Kingdom on earth.
A good place to begin a study of what is to happen is the Book of the Prophet Micah. Micah chapter 5 specifically talks about the cleansing that will take place. Not everyone will be satisfied with Godly rule.
Why does any of this occur?
The Bible details from the beginning God’s patience with man. Through the prophets God stated that He would not always hold back His hand of judgment. He has given man plenty of time and now it is time for the DAY OF THE LORD.
What happens when the Lord arrives?
God’s Wrath and Vengeance will be extracted upon those that have said no to God’s pleas for repentance.
Man has known for centuries since it was described to the Prophet Isaiah and written down in Isaiah Chapter 34 and Chapters 62-63.
Isaiah 66:15-16 clearly describes what will be witnessed the day of His return:
“For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.”
Then The CLEAN UP Begins
THIS IS A PURGING.
Jeremiah 25:30-33
“Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.”
The Prophet Isaiah was given many details of that day.
Isaiah Chapters 4, 13, 31 are essential studies for this Day.
Some facts from those chapters include:
God shaking the heavens, moving the earth out of her location.
Eradication of people regardless of age or gender who are not members of God’s family.
He will wash away the “filth”.
By the end of that day there will be an enormous loss of life. Numbers unseen before.
Jeremiah 30:23-24
“Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked. The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.”
The Armies of God
Revelation 19:11-18
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
Joel 2:3-11
A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
Battle of ARMAGEDDON
This battle is often considered by many as the sole event of the End Times. The word “Armageddon” itself has become infamous in our culture today and used often in reference to the end of the world. There are several events besides just the Battle at Megiddo that occur at the Second Coming of Jesus or the “Day of the Lord”. All Evil will be totally cleansed from the face of the earth before the day is over. The forces of this world will be in the Valley of Megiddo to meet the forces of God in what they believe will be the battle to get rid of God. The Valley of Megiddo is and has been a strategic location for centuries.
Scriptures specific to this event: Zechariah 9:14-17; and Zechariah 14
Foretold Punishments
Being Fulfilled on this Day
Egypt Isaiah 19
EGYPT is on the southern side of the Valley of Megiddo. Jesus will go into Egypt (verse 1) and by the end of chapter (19-22) is seen one of the Greatest Revivals in scripture.
Idumea Isaiah 34 and Isaiah 63:1-6
IDUMEA guilt and coming punishment is detailed through the entire chapter 34 of Isaiah. By the time we read chapter 63, it starts out with Messiah walking in from Idumea area with His blood-stained garments.
Babylon (of Revelation 17) Micah 5:5b-6
Destroyed by the ISRAEL 15
“… then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.”
OTHER NATIONS WILL ALSO BE JUDGED. This will take place at THE JUDGMENT OF NATIONS.
ENDING for the Anti-christ
The next events include the capture and destruction of the Anti-christ.
We have been given the impression (due to lack of knowledge) for decades that the Battle at Armageddon “wipes out all evil including Satan and the Anti-christ”. This comes due to reliance upon ONLY the Revelation passage that “sums up that total day”. This is simply not true. The battle of Megiddo will see billions dead but does not include the man who declared himself a god.
SEE the Study on the Profile of the Anti-christ for the events that now occur pertaining to his demise.

SATAN’s LAST STAND
OCCURS - AFTER THE MILLENNIUM
SATAN AND MAGOG attempt to battle GOD
During the Millennium Kingdom there will be humans born. Along with those that survived the events of the Tribulation. These people will be given their opportunity like everyone else to make a decision for Christ when Satan is released for a time at the end of the Millennium. Satan will make one last effort at God and His people. Revelation 20:7-9
Zechariah 14:12-15 Describes those who attacked Jerusalem being totally destroyed by a plague that eats the flesh of the humans and the weapons of warfare.
This passage follows a passage regarding the Millennial rule. This passage could therefore be looking at the final battle when Satan is loosed and leads armies against Jerusalem again. Armageddon is described as the flesh being eaten by the birds, that is not the case with this battle.
Four ways the armies that attacked Jerusalem will be destroyed:
Plague that will consume all flesh, eyes and tongues
Tumult within the enemy camp that will cause them to turn on each other
Armies of the Jews shall destroy them and gather abundance of gold, silver and apparel
Plague will destroy all modes of transportation of the enemy
Ezekiel Chapters 38-39 This is another Battle. This is described as being between Gog / Magog (Satan) versus GOD.
Many have connected this passage to the events of Armageddon. A careful study will reveal many details that do not fit such a timeline. This will be discussed elsewhere.
Once this is all over. The planet has received it’s final cleansing.
Sin and Satan have BEEN ERADICATED!
THE END for EVIL!
(Literally!)
