THE FIRST WORDS OF GENESIS

Verse1 – “In the “beginning” God created the heaven and the earth.”

If God had to create it; then neither the heaven nor earth WAS there before.  Simple understanding required. This document will be focusing on the “earth”.

Two facts it already establishes:

FACT 1. God created it.

FACT 2. It was not there previously.

The Trinity: GOD the Father; The Son, and the Spirit Present Before Genesis

FACT 3:

FROM The START of All Eternity was the FATHER AND SON

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. JOHN 1:1

Man in his limited mind cannot visualize this point in time. God and Jesus (The Word) were there at that point in time.

Isaiah 54:12

I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

1 Peter 1:19-21

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

2Timothy 1:9-10

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

SOMETHING WAS MISSING according to Genesis 1:2

Verse 2 – “And the earth was without form, and void;”

FACT 4: EARTH WAS Without form AND void

Question: Why does God create “something” without form? And then void?

Answer: HE DOES NOT!

Isaiah 45:18

For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

THEREFORE, AS SIMPLY PUT AS POSSIBLE:

FACT 5: Something happened between verse 1 and verse 2 that is NOT being stated!

RELEVANCY

QUESTION: Why does man have an issue when the Creator is NOT telling EVERYTHING in these 2 verses?

ANSWER: What is the “subject” of Genesis Chapter 1? The SIX days of creating our world as we are told in the rest of chapter1.

Any writer can explain the principle of staying on topic. The main character may not have his experience in first grade elementary school outlined for the reader, unless it is relevant to the CURRENT topic.

God tells us ONLY what WE NEED to know AND THEN tells us through the rest of chapter one how HE restored the Earth to serve a purpose.

LOCATING WHAT WAS MISSING

God tells us in the REST OF HIS WORD.  Man would NEED to learn what happened instead of debating that it did.

The disciples knew and the Prophets knew.  Man has forgotten the story. We need the fresh walk-through scripture.

FACT 6:

AT SOME POINT.  We do not know when this occurred. God created the ANGELS and LUCIFER

We do know this was PRIOR to Genesis 1:1 BECAUSE:

ANGELS WERE PRESENT AND REJOICED WHEN GOD CREATED THE EARTH

JOB 38:4-7

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Lucifer was ALREADY there.  But we know him as Satan AND fallen during the Creation story. WHEN did that occur?

LUCIFER the ANGEL became THE FALLEN.

These verses discuss events which MUST HAVE ALREADY

OCCURRED BETWEEN GENESIS 1:1 and GENESIS 1:2

Isaiah 14:12-15

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Ezekiel 28:12-19

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Revelation 12:4-5

And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Dragon is symbol for Satan. “His tail” is similar to the modern phrase “in his wake”. Meaning, his actions brought about these results.  When Satan fell from Heaven it resulted in 1/3 of the stars of heaven being cast out with him.  In Genesis, God revealed to Satan that his story was already written. Revelation sums it all up.

STORY WAS TOLD TO ALL MANKIND

REGARDING EVENTS of Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2

The Facts add up to one thing: with ALL the scripture (WORDS OF GOD) discussed in this document; only the foolish can state that God did not tell us EVERYTHING that happened.  Once again man is found guilty of commenting on a book that was never read!

Satan’s fall left “that world” formless and void. Darkness was now on the face of the deep. The world Lucifer / Satan ruled was destroyed by water!  THE FIRST FLOOD.   After the flood of Noah’s day, God said He would NEVER destroy the earth by water again. Because He had already done so once previously. Flood of Noah’s day WAS A SECOND FLOOD!

Water was already present when God was RE-CREATING AFTER DESTROYING Lucifer’s world.

Jeremiah 4:23-26

I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

God speaks through Jeremiah in SIMPLE words and makes the following FACTS:

The earth was “…without form, and void…”  AND “…heavens…had no light…”.

“…there was no man…” AND  “…all the birds of the heavens were fled”.

“…fruitful place was a wilderness…” AND “…cities …broken down…” by God’s anger.

Put all that together:

The earth had no form and was void. There was no light in the atmosphere (no stars, moon or sun). There was no man and all the birds (of heaven) had flown away. There was a fruitful place on earth that was now a wilderness (dead to life). The cities that existed had been destroyed by God’s anger!

A Wrap-up from the writer of Psalms 104:5-9

Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
