Welcome to the Library

This Library section is dedicated solely to the portions of scripture regarding the distant history of humanity. The DISTANT PAST contains the History of Mankind. Mankind’s feeble attempts at running away from the beautiful story of LOVE by the Creator and God of the UNIVERSE.

What is History? The “world” tells their version and God has told us the REAL History in his Word.

God created this beautiful world at Creation and then made MAN in HIS Image to enjoy what He created. Man was given the freedom of choosing between Good and Evil. It was Man who CHOSE Evil instead of Good! God has dealt with Man making this same decision ever since. History contains ALL the ways man has attempted to ignore God. THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF HISTORY.

God was patient with Humans for centuries, watching the depths of depravity Man could crawl into. The flood of Noah’s day gave mankind a chance at a fresh start. Man decided He was better than God and rebelled in every method he could come up with.

GOD’S PEOPLE

An individual man with a heart for God was chosen to be the “father of His People”. God established a Covenant with Abraham that would establish his descendants as the chosen people. Twelve tribes would eventually come from Abraham’s lineage. The story of God’s chosen people is THE STORY. God’s plan for redemption of Man would come through these people.

From years of slavery to exodus from Egypt the Jews fought service to God and chose servitude to man. Entrance into the Promised Land with the work of Moses and Joshua would not convince them to be loyal to God. Judges appeared to help guide and lead them. As a people they were not happy and became jealous of the evil nations surrounding them. They wanted what those nations had. A Man-KING to rule them, not a God!

The Jews were intended to be a unique people and not like other cultures. They got their man for a king and the history of the Jews took a wrong detour once again. Led by the desires of power of these men they turned to evil. God used Prophets to remind the kings and people of God. NOT SO!

Back into Captivity once again. Although they would see the Promised Land again; it was not as a Nation. God would send His Son to make things right again…
