Summary of the book:

 

 

This letter was written to address the questions the Jews had regarding Jesus.  The biggest one was the issue of Jesus not being of the Priestly lineage.  They therefore believed that Jesus could not fulfill that role. Paul would spend a lot of time addressing that topic.

Written while in Italy and delivered by Timothy.
